Attraction

They were attracted to each other and nobody seemed to notice. The meeting was called the people were present and the speaker had took the stage. The guest of honor has begun to speak and I noticed that his eyes often connected with a colleague whose responsibility was to assure his visit went smoothly. Where did the attraction begin? Was it when they were initially introduced or did they just now recognize it? The guest at times seemed uncomfortable with the look, maybe he feared that someone noticed and he was right. The guest is only here a few days. The sun will rise and fall many times before he departs. The night only knows if they will meet the absent need I saw in their eyes.
